CAOKS 155th Annual Dinner

King’s were delighted to welcome back alumni, former teachers & current staff last Saturday as CAOKS hosted their 155th Annual Dinner in the Vanbrugh Theatre. It was fantastic to see an array of former pupils back at King’s having postponed the dinner last October due to the pandemic. Last year was in fact only the second time the dinner had been cancelled in the associations 156 year history – the other being during WW2!

Guests were treated to a fascinating and jovial speech from Sky News Broadcaster Jonathan Samuels (OKS 1991) who has reported on some of the biggest events of the last 25 years and the conversation was flowing, as was the wine, as guests tucked into a delicious 3 course meal prepared by our catering team.

We were also thrilled to present Dr Anthony Jenner OBE with a King’s Leading Light Award for professional achievement. Anthony is a retired Deputy Chief Dental Officer for the Department of Health and throughout his career he has endeavoured to work on improving dental health for the most needy in society. He is an excellent role model for current pupils and a worthy winner of a Leading Light award.
