At this week’s Careers Breakfast, we were joined by former King’s pupil, Jamie Jenkins (OKS2003).
Pupils from Removes to Sixth Form gathered to learn more about a career in Law.
Jamie, who is a barrister practising in Employment, Discrimination and Education Law, talked about different pathways into Law, different areas of Law, as well as the differences between being a solicitor and being a barrister.
A highlight of the session was the opportunity to try on Jamie’s barrister’s wig, as well as the chance to ask questions about his career to date.
Pupils thanked Jamie for his time: “It was a really good introduction to careers in Law and how varied these can be. It was also good to hear that Jamie is happy to arrange work experience for Sixth Formers as this will be really useful for when I start applying to university.”
Next week, we will welcome Abbi Fry, Head of Complaints at NFU. Senior School pupils can register on SOCS (Senior School events) now.
