A century of practices for Harry

Harry McKenna (RMSC) has become the first student to take part in 100 hockey practices in a single season.

Only a few seasons ago, we marked the first player to achieve 50 hockey practices but the new pitch and a more focussed hockey schedule has given students more opportunities to practice throughout the week.

Players can be seen on the pitch every morning before school and most lunchtimes in a mixture of age group training, open hockey sessions and focussed keeper sessions.

Harry is pictured here with Director of Hockey, Simon Egerton, who congratulated him on his commitment.

He said: “Harry is a key member of our all-conquering U12 team who recently won the North of England Championship and there is no doubt that his commitment to training and skills practice is a key factor in the team’s success.”
