Cricket: U15 Welsh Champions

On Sunday, 3 July, three King’s cricketers represented their club in the Welsh Cup Finals to become Under-15 Welsh Champions. 

Cameron Moon (3BRD), Adam De Rycke (4WER) and Arthur Crewe (4GLA) play for Hawarden Park Cricket Club and qualified for the Welsh Finals in June after winning the Regional Final of the Welsh Cup.

At the weekend, they won their semi final match to face Swansea in the final. 

An exciting match saw Hawarden score 133 runs and bowl Swansea out in 19.5 overs for 88. 

In a successful week for the team, Hawarden Park were also crowned North Wales (South) League Champions thanks to their unbeaten run so far this season. 

All three boys also play for King’s and Cameron enjoyed even more success with the school team on 2 July when the U14s were runners up in the Cheshire Cup.
