Cycle to School success

There were some herculean efforts on the first King’s Cycle to School Day on Wednesday, 10 October, including one father and son who biked in from Ruthin, North Wales.

Some welcome autumn sunshine greeted more than 100 pupils as they arrived at school on their bikes, before they were rewarded with a freshly prepared smoothie. The initiative, which will be repeated throughout the school year, is part of the school’s commitment to Sustainable Travel.

Special mention must go to Ben Hardy-Jones (U6WAL) and his father, who braved a very early start to cycle in from Ruthin, North Wales.
