Dutton Win House Song Competition 2019

Well done to all the students that took part in today’s House Song competition final.

House Walsh have been in the final every year so far and this year they performed first with their fantastic rendition of Macklemore’s ‘Can’t Hold Us’. Up next, Gladstone performed George Ezra’s ‘Shotgun’ which featured a video with the students, Mr Downey and Mrs Webb. Werburgh were next to perform, this being the third time in the final for the House. They performed a fantastic version of Journey’s ‘Don’t Stop Believin” with fantastic choreography and a lot of air guitars! Last but not least, Dutton gave an incredible performance of Elton John’s ‘Don’t Go Breaking My Heart’.

After much deliberation from the judges, who considered song quality, entertainment value, Prefect contribution and overall House enthusiasm, the results were announced:

1st place: Dutton
2nd place: Gladstone
3rd place: Werburgh
4th place: Walsh

A great afternoon was had by all Houses in the theatre this afternoon. A huge well done to all Houses that have taken part so enthusiastically this week.
