Gallery: Egg-citement in Willow Lodge

Children in Reception were excited to welcome some fluffy friends into Willow Lodge last week as chicks began to hatch from the eggs that have been incubating in the Wrens classroom.

The children have been watching the incubator carefully whilst learning about how the chicks were developing inside the eggs.

There was much excitement when the chicks were heard chirping for the first time and they began to hatch.

Since the chicks hatched, the children have enjoyed handling them with great care, and observing them as they grow.

At the end of term, the chicks will go home with Mrs Stevenson where they will live with her other chickens.
