Enterprising Junior School pupils have smashed a fundraising target set by The Hospice of the Good Shepherd, raising a total of £1,836.24.
In March, each form in Junior School was given £10 by the local charity, who tasked them with growing it into at least £100.
Through a series of charity days, each hosted by individual year groups, the pupils truly rose to the challenge, beating the overall target by more than £600.
From bake sales to lunchtime discos, pupils tapped into their entrepreneurial spirit to raise the money. Creativity also played its part with homemade key-rings proving very popular, and homemade 3D-printed toys selling out in record time!
The total amount raised was announced by Bethany Froud from The Hospice of the Good Shepherd in a special assembly.
She said: “We are so grateful to the pupils for their incredible fundraising efforts; they really entered into the spirit of the challenge and have done a brilliant job.”
