Ev’rybody Wants to Be a Cat!

Talented J2 pupils delivered a production of Aristocats to be proud of!  Based on the beloved Disney film, featuring jazzy and upbeat music the production was a non-stop thrill ride of feline fun, complete with unbelievable twists and turns. From the start the audience was gripped with an opening dance to Stray Cat Strut.

In the heart of Paris, a kind and eccentric millionairess wills her entire estate to Duchess (Hattie Bankes), her high-society cat, and her three little kittens. Laughs and adventure ensue as the greedy, bumbling butler and his cronies pull off the ultimate catnap caper. Now it’s up to the rough-and-tumble alley cat, Thomas O’Malley (Christopher Neal), and his band of swingin’ jazz cats to save the day.

Every pupil put a huge amount of effort into rehearsals and the production learning incredible dance routines and delivering some super solo performances.

Special thanks must go to Miss Savage for her work on the set design inspired by artist El Gato Gomez. The impressive performance was directed and choreographed by Mrs Parker, whilst Mrs Stevens was the Musical Director. Many thanks to all other parents and staff who were also involved.
