Over the past two weeks GeogSoc have entertained and informed us about why Fair Trade matters, with a series of Fair Trade Cafes to raise awareness of how our purchasing choices can be a power for good and to raise money for Water Aid.
The cafes were a huge success with students being entertained by singers, dancers, magicians, a Fair Trade Quiz and the incredible Lower Sixth band “Tourist”.
We are all hugely grateful to: the students who attended the events and who dug deep into their pockets to raise an impressive donation; the generous and talented performers; Mrs Aldridge; and the fantastic Sixth Form students who were proactive and creative in their approach to hosting these events.
We are delighted that over £100 was raised for Water Aid. Please click here to find out more about the Fair Trade movement.
