Hockey: U12 boys crowned North West champions

Congratulations to the U12 boys hockey team who travelled to Macclesfield in early February and returned a NW England champions!

As King’s celebrates the fourth successive year as regional title holders, the boys are looking forward to competing in the North of England finals against schools from Yorkshire and the North East in March.

Hockey Coach, Chris Ashcroft, accompanied the team to the tournament.

He said: “Despite starting slowly, the boys were ultimately too good for the other teams and beat all three to top the group.

“In the semi-final match against Calday Grange, they took immediate control and took the win before beating King’s Macclesfield 4-0 in the final.

“They impressed with their determination and teamwork and should be very proud of their performance.”

Good luck to the team in the North of England finals next month.
