Hockey: U12 boys are North of England Champions

Congratulations to our U12 boys who have been crowned North of England champions.

The team won their fourth title of the year, claiming North West and North of England championships in both indoor and outdoor competitions. 

The North of England finals were held on home soil at The King’s School. A tight 2-1 win over St Peter’s York was followed by two 1-0 wins in close games against Yarm and Altrincham to set up the final against Yarm. 

King’s led until the closing seconds of the match when the opposition forced home an equaliser, taking the game to penalties. 

In a nail-biting end to the tournament, King’s eventually won 2-1 in the shootout to take the title.
