Indoor Hockey: U18 girls heading for national finals

Congratulations to our U18 girls indoor hockey team who became North West champions on Wednesday, 7 December.

Their North West title continued a run of success for the girls following their Cheshire Cup victory in November, and the Chester and District title the previous day. 

A strong start in their opening match set the tone for the competition as the girls won 3-1 against King’s Macclesfield. 

Victories against Sedbergh (2-1) and Rossall followed, and the team pulled off a magnificent 5-1 win against Wilmslow to claim the North West title in style. 

Director of Hockey, Simon Egerton, congratulated the team on their progression to National Finals. 

He said: “This is a strong team who fully deserve the success they are enjoying. I am looking forward to seeing what they can do at the National Finals at Repton in January.”
