Visit from international bestselling author-illustrator

Lucky pupils were very excited to meet bestselling author-illustrator Cressida Cowell, creator of the How to Train Your Dragon series.

Cressida is also the current Waterstones Children’s Laureate. 

She spoke to pupils about the inspiration behind her How to Train Your Dragon books and her new publication, The Wizards of Once: Knock Three Times.

Cressida shared advice with pupils about creativity and endeavour, describing what it’s like to have your books made into a film and introduced pupils to the world of The Wizards of Once by sharing  her sketchbooks to show how she develops the magical creatures and worlds in her award-winning series.

After Cressida’s engaging and interesting talk, delighted pupils were able to have their books signed.
