We are delighted to announce that for the 2025-2026 academic year, Isla Entwistle (L6WER) will be the new Head of School, with Theo Airoll (L6BRD) and Grace Henderson (L6GRO) joining her as Deputy Heads of School.
Isla is looking forward to taking on the responsibilities of the role. She said: “I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with a wide range of people across the school to ensure that pupil voice is heard and pupil’s ideas are acted upon.”
Grace and Theo echoed Isla’s ambitions, and also thanked staff for the opportunity to interview for the role. Grace said: “The process was quite intense but very exciting and rewarding. Similarly to Isla, my focus is on improved communication across the school.”
Theo added: “It was a very rigorous process, especially as our year group is full of very talented individuals. I am very grateful that I have been given the chance to represent the pupil body, and I am particularly keen to make strides in developing the – already very important – role of sport at King’s.”
Head of Sixth Form, Josh Carter, shared the news of their appointment after a thorough application and interview process, praising all of the students who applied for the positions: “The Head and I were very impressed by the high standard of applicants this year, and we are confident that Isla, Theo and Grace will work well together as a strong and effective team.”
He also added: “I would like to extend my congratulations to those who were not selected. Their dedication and talent have been clearly recognised, and these are qualities that will benefit them in the future.”
Mr Carter went on to emphasise the significance of the Head of School team.
He explained: “The Head of School Team plays an important role within the Sixth Form and across the wider school community, meeting regularly with both the Headmaster and Head of Sixth Form.
“They also act as key representatives for the school at public events.”
The team is excited about the year ahead: “We are keen to get started in our roles and are excited about the year ahead, particularly the prospect of working closely with the new Head, Mr Rogers, when he starts in September.”
The next stage of the process is to choose Lead Prefects and applications have been invited from current Lower Sixth students. All Sixth Formers are given the opportunity to take on positions of responsibility and leadership, whether that is part of the House system, as subject prefects, or leading on events, charity, sustainability, Mental Fitness or anti-bullying.
