Jonathan Samuels OKS 1991

From an early age Jonathan dreamed of becoming a broadcaster and gained experience on both hospital and local radio stations before trying to persuade producers to let him have his own airtime.

Since then he has worked on a variety of projects for the BBC, Sky News, Channel 4 and Channel 5. He began by joining the BBC regional training scheme, starting at BBC Radio Cornwall. From there he progressed to BBC Spotlight where he began reporting and presenting on TV. This led to Jonathan joining BBC Look East, before moving to London to report for Sky News and being Chief Correspondent for Channel 5 News.

Highlights from Jonathan’s career so far include reporting the highlights from Barack Obama’s election live from Chicago and reporting from Washington on the Clinton/Trump race for the White House. In addition, Jonathan reported on at the Royal Wedding this year.

Outside of work Jonathan lives in London with his wife and two children.
