Juniors’ flying start to athletics season!

Congratulations to our Junior School pupils who performed fabulously at the annual AJIS Cross Country Championships at Rossall.

Many pupils returned to school proudly donning medals, with the girls’ under 10 cross country team achieving the GOLD award in their category, with the boys’ under 10 cross country team coming very close runners up in their category.

The athletes posted extremely impressive times with the most notable individual performance from Eleanor Williams (JSB) who retained her title.

The pupils also performed admirably in the North West Regional Biathlon competition, with 12 pupils from both the girls and boys, under 10 and under 11 categories, qualifying for the British Schools’ Modern Biathlon Championship Final in March 2018.

This was a perfect start to what we hope will be another successful indoor and outdoor athletics season for the Junior School. Well done to everyone for your fantastic performances!
