King’s Juniors is growing

King’s is thrilled to announce that this summer we are renovating the Junior School building to create a new multi-purpose music and drama studio and increase the size of our J1 (Year 3) classrooms.

The redevelopment includes the installation of state-of-the-art sound proof music pods, for individual and group music lessons. This investment in the creative arts has been inspired by the wealth of talent amongst our pupils and our commitment to achieving Artsmark accreditation as a school.

The new studio and pods will be the result of a complete renovation of the current classrooms and will also mean we have the classroom space to take more pupils in our J1 classes from September 2019.

Head of Infants and Juniors, Margaret Ainsworth, said: “This investment in facilities will further enhance our co-curricular provision and increase the potential for all pupils to pursue and take part in activities across the school.

“We are also delighted that it means we are able to offer more children the opportunity to join the school. Joining King’s at the junior stage has a long history and we are experienced in making sure pupils settle in quickly and start to make the most of all that is on offer, in and out of the classroom.

“We believe King’s Juniors is a unique learning environment, combining academic stretch with a vibrant co-curricular programme. Our pupils are engaged and enthusiastic and it’s a honour to watch them develop into Senior School students and continue their journey through King’s.”
