King’s Rowing Club take on the River Charles challenge for charity

King’s Rowing Club took on the ‘Row and Run The River Charles Team Challenge’ at our Open Day last month in order to raise money for The Movement Centre. Every year The Movement Centre continue to deliver specialist therapy and targeted training which helps children to gain better control of their movement. For some children it can enable them to walk, which means they can be far more independent.

During the challenge, students rowed the length of Boston’s River Charles (129km) and each member of the team ran or went on an ergo to do as many kilometres as possible to complete the distance in 150 minutes.

We are pleased to reveal that the students managed to raise an incredible £762.79.

Well done to all involved!
