King’s students celebrate A Level success and top university places

The King’s School Chester is celebrating an impressive year of A Level results, with students achieving excellent grades across a broad range of subjects and securing offers at leading universities.

The results mark an exciting conclusion to the students’ time at King’s and reflect their hard work and ambition, together with the dedication of their teachers and the support of their families.

An impressive 81% of grades were awarded at A–B*, with King’s students securing 64 A* grades across 25 subjects. Ten departments celebrated more than 50% of their grades being A*/A.

Students have also secured offers for highly competitive courses including Medicine, Dentistry, Law, Economics and Engineering at some of the country’s most prestigious universities.

The King’s School Chester congratulates all students on their achievements and wishes them every success in the next stage of their education and beyond.

Headmaster George Hartley, who leaves the school this summer, paid tribute to his final Upper Sixth cohort at King’s.

“I would like to congratulate all our students on their A Level results, which have once again secured places at some of the best universities across the country.

“Today, we celebrate the results. But, more importantly, we celebrate the young people behind them – their character, contribution, talents and the many different ways in which they have made their mark at King’s.

“Alongside achieving such strong academic results, this year group has been particularly noteworthy for its extensive co-curricular involvement in sport, music and drama. We know that the wider skills developed through these activities are hugely important to future professional success and personal fulfilment.

“I wish all our leavers the very best for what I am sure will be highly successful and rewarding futures.”
