Novel celebrations for Book Week

Book Week turned into a real page turner as themed events and challenges took place across the school.

The week kicked-off with a book quiz for Removes and the official start of voting for the School Book Awards. We were then delighted to welcome our Patron of Reading Non Pratt, who delivered a series of fascinating talks and workshops. Teachers got in on the act by taking part in the ‘match the literary couples’ and ‘caught reading’ competitions and the whole school took time out to ‘drop everything and read’.

On Thursday, March 1, Willow Lodge and Junior School pupils arrived for lessons dressed as their favourite literary character, and once again teaching staff were more than happy to join in the fun.
A hotly contested House Quiz rounded of the week in the library and the final winners of the School Book Awards were revealed to a delighted audience of pupils and staff.
