Oxbridge success for Upper Sixth students

Following months of hard work and dedication, eight delighted Upper Sixth students are celebrating offers from Oxford and Cambridge.

The application process this year presented yet another new challenge for the students, with both universities having to adapt their traditional method to reflect the current restrictions.

Head of Sixth Form, Mr Carter said: “I’d like to pass on my personal congratulations to all of the students who took part in the very rigorous application process this year.  It has been particularly demanding for students as they have had to adapt to a different process, including new testing methods and interviews which were held remotely.

“This year, elite universities are more competitive than ever. For 30% of those students to go on to receive an offer is an incredible achievement and they should be very proud of themselves.”

Congratulations to the following students:

  • Riyaan Yesudian (U6GLA) Economics – Cambridge
