GCSE Drama students, LAMDA students and pupils in some of our KS3 drama classes have been benefitting from the experience of professional actor, Eden Hambleton-Davies.
Eden, who left King’s after his GCSEs in 2020 to study at Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) and pursue his dream of being an actor, has just finished filming a new ITV drama.
Eden has been back at King’s to work with current pupils, and has enjoyed spending time in the classes.
He said: “The support I had when I was at King’s was amazing and I am so happy that I can give back in some way by sharing my experiences and the benefits of my training. I started at King’s when I was 7 years old so it feels a bit like coming home!”
Director of Drama, Mrs Howdon, has enjoyed having Eden back on the team this week.
She said: “Eden is a spectacularly talented actor who contributed so much to drama at King’s when he was here so I was delighted when he offered to come back and share his experiences with our current pupils.
“He is a fantastic role model for our Drama students and shows what can be achieved with hard work and commitment.”
Eden has spent the last six months working on Tell Me Everything in which he plays the lead role of 16-year-old Jonny Murphy.
The show, which is due to air in March, is a celebration of adolescence but won’t shy away from the difficult subjects that face today’s teens; examining the impact of social media on teen mental health, we will see the show’s characters experiment with drink, drugs and relationships, and explore their own sexuality.
