Many of our Junior School children have been busy composing stories for the national 500 Words 2017. This competition was established by BBC Radio 2 presenter Chris Evans, with an aim to get children excited by reading and writing. We certainly share this aim and it has been wonderful to see the enthusiasm with which the children have grasped this opportunity. The J1 children in particular have delighted in entering, having all watched the live launch before composing their stories of 500 words or less. We wish everyone lots of luck!
