Fourth Year GCSE Drama students recently wowed audiences, with a poignant and thought-provoking original piece of theatre. Using a film entitled Dreams of a Life as their initial stimulus, the students have worked together over the past term to write, rehearse, design and perform a 20 minute performance. Based loosely around the seven deadly sins and set in purgatory, Alchemy Lucas (4PN), Anna Devoy (4RC), Maxwell Williams (4PN), Daniel Sharratt (4AR), Harry Caputo (4RC) and Lottie Cliff (4RC) gave an emotionally charged performance as well as showing off the groups’ musical talents, with some lovely moments of original live composition. The performances were complemented beautifully by Joseph Clarke’s (4LB) striking lighting design and the end result was a stirring and stylish evening of theatre.
