Pupils Meet Sarah Crossan

We were delighted to welcome Sarah Crossan, author of One to the library today on a Skype visit.

One has won the Carnegie Award, the YA Book Prize, the Cheshire Schools Book Award and is on the School Book Award shortlist.

Sarah talked to the pupils about how there is a real gap in the UK market for verse novels for teenagers and how much she enjoys writing in that style. She also spoke about the process of writing her new book We Come Apart with Brian Connaghan and how they collaborated via WhatsApp without meeting at all – just sending chapters to each other!

The pupils were incredibly enthusiastic, with no let-up in the questions and Sarah answered them all in detail.  She has also agreed to send signed book plates to all pupils who would like one!

Thank you Sarah for your time today, the pupils thoroughly enjoyed talking with you!
