Singing at St Paul’s Cathedral

Talented King’s pupils and Chester Cathedral Choristers Lucas Pold (J3O), Olivia Lowe (J4S), Limonée Fearn (J4M) (pictured), Matthew Carty (4LB), Edward Dawson (RmNG) and Peter Evans (RmSC) were given the wonderful opportunity to sing at St Paul’s Cathedral in London this week, in the the company of The Most Reverend & Right Honourable Dr. John Sentamu, Archbishop of York.

The pupils were there as part of the 363rd Festival of the Sons and Friends of the Clergy, which is a charity founded in 1655, which aims to provide financial assistance to clergy and their households where there is particular hardship or need.

It was a real privilege for all the pupils, not only to sing in St Paul’s, but to sing with the St Paul’s choir and Winchester Cathedral Choir too.

Before coming home they enjoyed a full guided tour of Sir Christopher Wren’s stunning building, finishing with a climb up the dome!

Well done to all our talented choristers and click here for more information on the spectacular St Paul’s Cathedral.
