Puppies can go off to school, thanks to Willow Lodge fundraising

This year’s fundraising efforts in Willow Lodge have paid off with more than £500 being donated to their chosen charity, Guide Dogs. 

The children were excited to receive a special “Thank You” certificate from the charity, especially when they learned that their money will help five puppies start their journey towards being a Guide Dog. 

Admissions Manager Erica Sears, who has raised Guide Dog puppy, Lotta, explained what this means. 

She said: “We looked after Lotta for just over a year and she is now in training to be a Guide Dog. With £500, the charity can equip five puppies just like Lotta with everything they need to start school. 

“The children met Lotta when they started their fundraising and I am pleased to tell them that she is doing really well and will hopefully ‘graduate’ in the autumn.”

The pupils raised the money in their Willow Lodge Charity Sale.  They worked hard to make biscuits, pebble pets and Easter cards before selling to their friends and teachers.
