Racing for Bronze at National Finals

On Saturday, 4 March, nine Junior School athletes and their parents travelled to Worksop College for the 2023 ISA National Cross-Country Finals. 

The runners from King’s Juniors joined young athletes from other schools in our region to represent ISA North against schools from other areas. 

On a challenging course, the team tactic to stay left in the forest served the runners well and King’s finished the day with six top-20 finishes in the four categories we entered.

These excellent results helped the ISA North team to an overall third position in the competition.

Mr O’Neil, Mrs Willis and Mrs Grove coach Junior School cross country and congratulated the team on their performance. 

They said: “There was an incredible atmosphere at Worksop today and our runners did themselves proud at this festival of elite running. 

“A huge thank you to the parents and supporters who cheered us on, it means so much to us and the children.”
