Records tumble in triumphant Sports Days!

It’s been a fantastic few days at the Junior School with two great sports days on the Senior School sports fields.

The J1 and J2 pupils took to the fields for the first action-packed sports day, with the classic egg and spoon race proving to be a firm favourite among both pupils and parents. The sack race provided plenty of entertainment for spectators too!

The shot put and long jump events kept the energy levels up, whilst the penultimate relay race provided the perfect ‘edge of your seat’ action to conclude a fantastic day of sports. Following the final race, the scores from the day were added up before Mrs Ainsworth announced Falles House as the J1/J2 Sports Day Champions!

The following day it was the turn of the J3 and J4 pupils to compete for the House Trophy as the sun shone down on a record breaking morning of sports. The grounds were a sight to behold as pupils competed in an array of activities including 80m sprints, long jump, alternative javelin and relay races.

The latter was undoubtedly a highlight of the morning, as the spectating pupils, staff and parents cheered on the runners for a thrilling final straight sprint which warranted a photo finish! Eventually, Mrs Ainsworth announced Lindans House as the J3/J4 Sports Day Champions.

A huge thanks to all the parents for their fantastic support during both Sports Days. Whether it was cheering the pupils on from the side-lines or helping out on the KSPA refreshments stall, all of your support is greatly appreciated.
