Scholarship success for Holly

Congratulations to Holly Bosworth (U6GLA) who is looking forward to studying in the USA after securing academic and Track and Field scholarships at Central Michigan University.

Holly will study Exercise Science, combining her academic interests with her passion for sport. She is particularly looking forward to training in Central Michigan’s outstanding facilities; known for its academic provision and sporting excellence, Holly will have the opportunity to compete against high-calibre student-athletes at Division I level, a significant and highly competitive standard of university sport.

A dedicated member of West Cheshire Athletics Club, Holly specialises in the 200m and 400m events. She has represented Cheshire on multiple occasions, including at English Schools, and competes annually at the National Championships, both indoors and outdoors. Her most recent success saw her win silver in the 200m at the Indoor Northern Championships in Sheffield.

Holly thanked the Sixth Form staff for supporting her through the process. She said: “I am particularly grateful to Mr Carter whose encouragement and guidance were invaluable.”

We are extremely proud of Holly’s achievement and wish her every success as she embarks on this exciting new chapter of her academic and athletic journey.
