Family and friends take on charity walk

Rohan Ingley was a much-loved King’s student who sadly passed away in 2018 after a long and courageous battle with leukaemia. Now his friends and family are taking on the challenge of a 20-mile walk in aid of the charities that were closest to Rohan’s heart.

The walk, which will take place on July 9, is in aid of CLIC Sargent and The Ronald MacDonald House, both of which provided Rohan and his family with immeasurable support and care during his illness.

Rohan was known for always thinking of others and it was his wish that fundraising should continue for his chosen charities so that other families may benefit from their services. Each year on Rohan’s birthday, Mr and Mrs Ingley donate to both charities, as well as Tŷ Gobaith where they access bereavement counselling.

By taking on this walk, the Ingleys hope that they will be able to donate more money this year and they thanked their friends, the Smellie family, who came up with the idea and have been instrumental in organising the event.

Rohan’s parents haven’t set up a donation page as they are keen that all money donated goes directly to the charities that meant so much their son. If you would like to donate to support their walk, you can do so directly by following these links:
