Senior School House Athletics Competition

The sun beamed down on yet another fantastic sports day here at King’s, as our Senior School students took to the fields for the House Athletics Competition!

All eight Houses were represented in the new House sports day format as students cheered each other on from the sidelines. There were an array of impressive performances throughout the afternoon with numerous records being broken.

The 100m and 200m sprints provided exciting photo finishes, whilst the hurdles proved to be a favourite among spectating students and parents alike! The House relay was an undoubted highlight as all eight houses pitted their runners against each other in what proved to be an enthralling finish to the afternoon.

Upon completion of the afternoon’s final few laps, Mr Lunn announced the eagerly anticipated results. Whilst the points separating the eight houses were commendably marginal, the top three were announced as:

1st:     Walsh            (1048 points)

2nd:   Bradbury      (1026 points)

3rd:    Grosvenor    (1017 points)

Thank you to all the parents for their great support throughout the afternoon. Whether it was encouraging the pupils from the sidelines or serving refreshments on the KSPA stall, as ever your support is greatly appreciated.
