Sports Centre update: a look inside

There have been exciting developments taking place in our new Sports Centre over the summer break

Earlier this week some of The King’s staff were able to have an extensive tour of the building, allowing them to have a first glimpse of what the finished project will look like inside.

Here’s a little reminder of how the Sports Centre will look when finished:

It will house a multi-purpose studio for classes such as Pilates, yoga, gymnastics and aerobics, a fitness gym suite with a dedicated area for ergo/rowing machines and other facilities including a classroom. Students, parents and visitors will be able to enjoy refreshments in the new deli café and watch matches from the outdoor viewing terrace.  New changing room facilities are to be built and a new reception area will lead through to the swimming pool, new changing rooms and sports hall.

Please see the gallery below to see some of the progress being made in the £4.5m project, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of this term, subject to delays.

We’re looking forward to seeing further developments this term and beginning the countdown to opening the doors to such fantastic addition to the facilities here at King’s.
