21 Medals For Our Junior School Athletes!

26 King’s Junior School athletes took part in the Association of Independent Junior School’s annual athletics championships, held this year in Blackpool. The J3 and J4 pupils wore the green vests with pride and superbly represented the School, with a large percentage producing personal best performances in their qualifying heats!

A number of school records were challenged throughout the event and one J2 girl battled bravely in the 600m, a year younger than the other competitors.

The support from the crowd was well received and King’s excelled in the hurdles events at the start of a competitive day. The showpiece relay races concluded our most successful ever championships with a total of 21 Medals!

A number of other pupils reached the finals and finished in 4th or 5th place – Angus Rees (J4H), Will Jones (J4M), Eleanor Williams (J2A) and Will Saul (J4S).

Many thanks to everyone who travelled to support the team and hopefully next year we will return home with even more medals!
