Gold for King’s Rowers!

We were very proud to learn that 26 of our rowers were selected to represent the North West at the Inter-Regional Regatta held at The National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham on Saturday 22 April. Our athletes were selected into 5 different events (J16 8+, J16 4+, J15 4+, WJ15 4+ and the WJ16 8+) and performed very well in the heats with 2 boy’s boats progressing to the A final and 3 of our boats narrowly missing out to make the B final. All boats raced fantastically well and making our coaches very proud with their professionalism on and off the water at such a prestigious event.

The J15 boys coxed four qualified into the A final by winning their heat and claimed 4^th fastest overall at the end of the day. Well done to them and their coaches for a great result and lots of lessons learnt.

The J16 4+ won their heat comfortably and placed themselves as fastest qualifiers into the A final. This final was a fantastic race with our boys taking the Gold medal. Well done to Owen Parsonage (5VL), Oliver Irvine (5RH), Jack Roberts (5VL), William Medland (5AC) and cox Natchaa Austin (L6HF) on such a great achievement.
