Inspiring Opportunity for Five King’s Athletes

The School Games has a mission to motivate and inspire millions of young people across the country, to take part in more competitive school sport. To support this objective, they run a Talent Inspiration Programme which offers the opportunity of a lifetime, to a select group of outstanding young athletes, who consistently demonstrate outstanding qualities on and off the field.

This year’s event will take place at Loughborough University in late August, with practical and theory sessions delivered by ex-Olympic athletes or international players.

Mr Lunn, our Director of Sport, nominated some of our talented pupils for the programme and we are delighted to announce that five of them have been selected to attend.

The pupils are:

Kristian Ellis (4RC) for swimming

Siobhan Benson (L6DB) for athletics

Megan Gareh (L6AM) for netball

Sophie Williams (3RA) for dressage

Aled Bennett (5RH) for hockey

We know that our pupils will gain an enormous amount from this exciting and unique experience.
