King’s Girls continue fantastic start to the season!

The King’s 1st XI girls continued their fantastic start to the season as they cruised to the next round of the English Schools’ National Competition after three victories.

Following on from their recent triumph at the Chester and District Outdoor Tournament, the girls beat the Queen’s School by 2-0, Wilmslow High School by 2-0 and The Grange by 2-1 to be crowned Cheshire Champions.

The Grange game proved a tense affair after a prolonged spell where the score stood at 1-1, however the girls’ unwavering determination paid dividend as they took the lead five minutes before the final whistle.

They will now progress to the next round where they will play North West Schools in November at The National Schools’ North-West Semi-Final at Timperley.
