Last Saturday we were delighted to welcome Olympic Silver Medallist Chris Bartley back to the school. Chris, has now retired from rowing but continues to support our Rowing Club, after all, that is where his rowing career began!
Chris returned to coach three lucky young athletes as they progress in their single sculls. Josh Acton (4DUT), Lily Walker (4WAL) and Owen Parsonage (L6DUT) were all able to spend some time in a single scull with Chris coaching them. Following on from the coaching session, the new J14 rowers were able to meet Chris as he attended the new rowers’ meeting.
Chris continues to support King’s Rowing Club in a very active way and is one of our KSRCPA patrons. It was a wonderful morning at the rowing club, with over 100 rowers training and 75 parents taking advantage of the boat trip for new parents.
