Success for AJIS athletes

Earlier this term, our Junior School athletes enjoyed a successful day at the AJIS indoor athletics in Wigan.

31 young athletes had the honour of representing the school across all events at the competition, coming away with an impressive seven gold medals, 18 silvers and six bronze medals.

Mr O’Neil, Mrs Willis and Mrs Grove accompanied the group and were impressed with their performance.

They said: “The AJIS indoor athletics is always an enjoyable event and a record number of schools took part this year.

“Our athletes did themselves proud, showing an excellent level of technique and skill. Cheered on by a supportive crowd, they ended the day with a well-deserved medal haul.”
