Tatler Schools Guide 2021 – Headmaster’s progressive leadership praised

We are delighted to be featured as one of the top public schools in the North in this year’s Tatler Schools Guide.

The review describes King’s as ‘the number one independent co-ed in the North West’ and says parents from the area choose the school ‘because they know their child will receive the very best education, achieve the highest results (65 per cent A*–A at A-level in 2019), and head off to a leading university (83 per cent Russell Group). But it’s also top of their list because they know their child will be nurtured and supported.’

A number of school initiatives such as Super Saturdays and Let’s Get Playing are praised in the article, as well as the progressive style of our Headmaster, Mr Hartley.

Our students are described as: ‘… ‘open, confident and relaxed’, a testament to the progressive leadership of Head George Hartley, who believes that good mental health is the cornerstone of a successful education, and encourages everyone to ‘work hard, play hard’.
