Tennis: Yahia aces tennis award

Congratulations to Yahia Nawaytou (RMMB) whose successful 2023 tennis season culminated in a Cheshire title. 

Yahia, who plays for Birkenhead LTC and is on the Cheshire County training programme, won this year’s 12-and-under mixed doubles Cheshire County Championship with his partner. 

Cheshire County chairman, Matt Webb, paid a visit to King’s to make a special presentation to Yahia in celebration of his achievement. 

He said: “Yahia demonstrates real tenacity and determination on court and has a lot of promise for the future.

“I look forward to following his progress over the coming years and I am sure we will see him representing King’s in the summer.”

Yahia and Mr Webb were joined at the presentation by Headteacher, George Hartley, Director of Sport, Richard Lunn, and Head of Removes, Emily Sheriff who expressed their congratulations.
