Four pupils were selected to represent the school at the regional finals of the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) Competition on March 6.
Anna Harris (3FOX), Avi Sengupta (3LES), Aria Praveen (SHBRD) and Jack Hayter (SHFOX) joined more than 200,000 other pupils from across the UK taking part in the competition, which is organised each year by UKMT.
The day consisted of four rounds of challenging activities including a crossnumber puzzle and relay. Eighteen schools from the Cheshire and Wirral area were represented at the popular competition.
Our team came joint second and are now waiting to hear if they have made it through to the national final, as one of the highest scoring second place teams.
