Top maths team performs well at UK competition

Four pupils were selected to represent the school at the regional finals of the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) Team Challenge in March.

Anna Harris (3FOX), Avi Sengupta (3LES), Aria Praveen (SHBRD) and Jack Hayter (SHFOX) took part in the national competition, which is organised each year by UKMT.

The day consisted of four rounds of challenging activities including a crossnumber puzzle and relay. Eighteen schools from the Cheshire and Wirral area were represented at the popular competition.

Our team came joint second and are now waiting to hear if they have made it through to the national final, as one of the highest scoring second place teams.
