‘Trip Review’ – Encore, a look back at our festive Paris trip!

During the upcoming weeks, we will be reflecting on the fantastic array of trips our pupils and staff have embarked on over the course of the past year.

Our Schola Cantorum and King’s Brass Ensemble visited Paris over the festive period for a hugely successful  music trip. The pupils performed an array of Impressive musical pieces during their time in Paris with highlights including memorable performances at the Church of Saint Sulpice, La Madeleine and Notre Dame Cathedral. The Brass Ensemble also gave a fantastic Impromptu performance at the gates of Les Invalides.

During their time in Paris, the pupils visited many attractions across the city, including the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees, the Louvre, the Christmas Market at Saint Germain des Pres, Fragonard Perfume Museum, Montparnasse Tower and a cruise trip along the Seine River.

The pupils were extremely well supported during all their performances, with packed audiences present including ardent locals and a healthy support group of King’s parents.

Trips are vitally important in consolidating learning as pupils’ experiences can be directly related to the real world. Gaining the knowledge, skills and understanding to contribute to a global society begins with an understanding of the languages, values and cultures of different societies.

A huge thank you to the staff and parents for all of their assistance when organising and supporting our trips throughout the year.

We look forward to more adventures next year!
