U11 AJIS Cup Winners!

The U11 Junior School Boys Football Team won the AJIS Cup for the second time in only three years.

The road to victory began back in September when twenty-one of the leading North West Independent Junior Schools played in five qualifying tournaments across the region. King’s won their group which included Newcastle, St Bede’s and Stockport before moving on to the knockout phase of the Cup. The next round saw King’s beat one of the favourites away from home The Grange 6-1 before travelling to Bolton School and winning again 8-7 after extra time in the semi-final.

The final was played towards the end of March and, after a toss of the coin, King’s had to once again travel to play Stockport in the final which they won with a convincing 4-2 victory to become AJIS Champions once again.

Congratulations boys!
