Victory at Physics Olympics

On Wednesday 14th June four of our Shells : Anna Harris, Dan Kiely, Henry Banfield, and Will Burrows attended the 11th Annual Physics Olympics at St Peter’s School in York. Over the duration of the day they competed in 6 events, ranging from the mathematical Fermi Quiz, to the design based Light House task. The students approached each event with much enthusiasm, and worked well as a team to ensure they scored highly in all of the events.

We are delighted that after adding up all the scores from the day they emerged as overall winners, and were presented with Physics Olympics Trophy. In recognition of their efforts they were also the first recipients of the David Morris Shield. Overall a very enjoyable and successful day, well done team!
