Welcome back to the classes of '96, '06 and '16! - The King's School Chester

Welcome back to the classes of ’96, ’06 and ’16!

Last weekend we welcomed around 50 former students back through the doors for their school reunion, bringing together leavers from 1996, 2006 and 2016 for an opportunity to reconnect, swap stories and walk the corridors again.

There was lots of reminiscing throughout the day, especially when the Class of 2006 brought up one of their most legendary moments, the infamous letting out of two gerbils numbered 1 and 3 in the old school library! Safe to say it got everyone laughing and sharing plenty of “remember when…” stories.

Everyone loved seeing how the school has changed over the years; the new Sixth Form Centre got lots of compliments, and the library transformation really impressed people, especially those who remembered what it used to look like.

We were also delighted to see so many former teachers come back to celebrate with our former students. It meant a lot to both staff and students to catch up and see familiar faces again and, with free-flowing drinks and delicious food, there was plenty of time to relax, chat and properly enjoy the afternoon.

A highlight was a presentation from Headmaster George, who shared updates on the school and reflected on how the community continues to grow and stay connected over the years.

All in all, it was a brilliant day full of laughter, memories and great conversation. Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a special occasion, we can’t wait to do it again!
