Young drummers rock top grades

Congratulations to nine pupils who recently sat their Rock and Pop Drum exams.

Neil Middleton, pictured here with some of our proud drummers, is the drum teacher at King’s and was very pleased with how all pupils performed.

He said: “These pupils have all worked very hard to learn their pieces over the last few months and they fully deserve their certificates.”

Director of Music, Debbie Whitfield also congratulated the pupils: “The number of pupils choosing to take drum lessons has grown over the last two years and I am proud that they have done so well in their recent exams.

“Not only do exams like this recognise the effort and commitment of the pupils, but they also give them the confidence to play in music ensembles like our Rock and Pop band.”
