Young Leaders’ charity triumph

As part of their Enrichment programme, our Young Leaders have collected more than 40 bags of used clothing, shoes and accessories which will benefit more than one good cause.

The collection was organised in conjunction with Collect My Clothes, a Liverpool-based organisation set up by a family-run recycling business.

Collect My Clothes sends donated items to disadvantaged families in Eastern Europe, and also donates £200 per ton of clothes to a chosen charity.

Our Young Leaders chose Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and are pleased that their initiative will benefit children locally and internationally.

Miss Massey, who helped with the organisation, is very proud of the Sixth Formers who worked on the project.

She said: “Our Young Leaders worked hard to collect as many bags as possible, ensuring that the initiative was well advertised around school.

“They were overwhelmed by the response from students, staff and parents and it has been really rewarding to see their efforts pay off in this way.”
