Clubs and Activities in the Sixth Form
Beyond the academic curriculum, Clubs and Activities in The Sixth Form at King’s abound.
Music
There are 26 different music groups, ensembles and choirs.
Drama
There are many opportunities for pupils to get involved in fantastic theatre productions, musicals, festivals, weekly drama clubs and theatre visits. There are also many opportunities to help backstage and take part in production and technical aspects of theatre work, as well as taking on acting roles.
Sport
There are 28 different sports on offer at King’s, offering opportunities to participate competitively or recreationally.
Sixth Form Exclusive Clubs
A number of co-curricular clubs are available exclusively to Sixth Formers, giving them an opportunity to develop skills and experience relevant to their university application. These clubs include:
- Staff and Sixth Form Reading Group
- Current Affair Discussion Group
- Tycoon Enterprise
- MedSoc
Leadership and Responsibility
CCF and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award offer valuable opportunities to develop leadership and teamwork skills.
Model United Nations
King’s students are involved in Model United Nations events across the North West, and also organise a successful annual conference that regularly attracts more than 100 delegates.
Trips and Travel
There are numerous annual trips both in the UK and overseas. Many of these are curriculum-based, some are Sixth Form only, and some offer sporting or musical performance opportunities.
Recent trips have included A level Physics trip to CERN, History A level trip to Munich, 1st VIII rowing trip to The Head of the Charles River in Boston and an Art trip to Venice.
